Safe Package

Safe Package offers safe storage locations for your packages, protecting them from theft. Pick-up at convenient times or use our vacation hold service when you're away. Real-time notifications keep you updated once we receive your package on your package status, ensuring peace of mind and convenience.

  • I am worried about losing my purchases sent to Safe Package. What does Safe Package do to protect & secure packages? Are my online purchases I have sent to Safe Package insured?
    The Safe Package facility uses a 24/7 video monitoring security system. All received shipments (packages, skids, vehicles, etc) are FULLY INSURED for the original declared insurance amount with the carrier used to ship to Safe Package (i.e. FedEx, UPS etc.) This allows the customer peace-of-mind knowing that the same level of insurance applies until you pick up your shipment. In the event that a package is declared missing or damaged by a customer, the customer will be required to provide appropriate documentation detailing the value of the contents and declared insurance value of the shipment to Safe Package. Safe Package then has 30 days to research, process and resolve the issue. Safe Package is not be responsible for packages: 1. That were damaged due to improper packaging 2. Addressed to an incorrect address 3. Shipped to Safe Package without having setup an account and received a PM #. 4. Sent without the PM# being listed on the package 5. Addressed to a name other than what was originally registered to said PM# 6. That did not have insurance purchased with the original carrier. 7. Tracking number was not registered online our emailed before the date of delivery. Safe Package reserves the right to pay the claim at the fair market value of the item or the insured amount (whichever is less) or replace the lost or damaged item at our discretion. Safe Package is not responsible for any other costs beyond the value of the item. (i.e. lost time, wages, profit etc.)
  • How long will Safe Package hold my packages before I am charged a holding fee?
    Storage is FREE for the first 30 days for all customers for standard packages. We will hold your package for as long as you would like beyond the 30 days of free storage. However, a $0.25 + Tax per day, per package charge will apply and you will need to pay for your storage fees on a monthly basis using a Credit Card or PayPal account through our online system or at our office. Note: Skids, Vehicles, Boats, ATV’s etc. are subject to daily storage/holding fees from the first day that they are received. Please see our services for more information.
  • Can I have someone else pick-up my package(s) for me?
    Yes, however the following criteria is mandatory: The account holder must email the full name of the person who will be picking up the package. You must know the account holder’s PM# and name You must know the name that is on the package You must have the full tracking number You must have an up-to-date photo ID Be prepared for delays to verify all information. We may have to contact the account holder.
  • Do I need to register before having packages shipped to Safe Package?
    Yes, due to Canada Post compliance, all customers are required to register, include a PM # on shipping address, & fill-out/sign/submit a Canada post Letter of Authorization form, in order for Canada Post to release your mail to us.
  • Are there any size limitation?
    There are NO size limitations — as long as it fits through our overhead door! Including but not limited to automobiles, motorcycles, furniture – nothing is too large … or too small. Please see our services for a full breakdown of our price structure including oversize and storage fees.
  • What carriers do you receive packages from?
    We receive items including mail, packages, skids, etc. from any carrier, including Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, DHL, trucking companies, etc.
  • What payments do you accept?
    For customer convenience, CBI accepts cash, debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) & PayPal (online).
  • My UPS/Fedex tracking # shows delivery on a holiday closing day. Will carrier send back my package(s) if they can’t deliver?
    No, all carriers know Safe Package’s schedule & will make delivery on the very next opening day.
  • Is Safe Package’s Shipping Address considered a PO box? The seller will not ship to PO boxes.
    No, Safe Package’s Shipping Address is a physical address, NOT a PO box. Safe Package receives items from private carriers every day, including UPS & FedEx, who will not deliver to PO boxes. Safe Package assigns you a Private Mailbox (PM) number, not a Post Office (PO) box number, resulting in your own legitimate Shipping & Mailing Address.
  • I just registered, can I use the service BEFORE submitting required Canada Post Letter of Authorization form?
    Yes, you can start using Safe Package’s service immediately. This form is only required for you to forward mail through Canada Post. If you are trying to forward your mail delivered by Canada Post to our address, you do require the form in order for Canada Post to release your mail to us.
  • Can items that “require a signature” be shipped to Safe Package?
    Yes, Safe Package receives, accepts, & signs for many items that require signature confirmation. If a signature is required by the owner of the package, you may be required to contact your shipper to request the release of the package to us.
  • If I schedule a pick-up for a package or freight by a third party carrier(ie. UPS, Fedex etc), do I need to contact Safe Package ahead of time?
    Yes, Safe Package must be informed prior to the carrier arriving to our warehouse. Any and all applicable fees must be paid prior to release of the package or freight to the third party carrier.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • Can I also receive US Mail including but not limited to Magazines & Catalogs?
    Yes, all registered Safe Package Members who choose option 2 or 3 receive an assigned Private Mailbox # & a physical mail slot to receive Mail. There are no mail receiving fees.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.

Ship valuable packages to Safe Package

All packages and skids received and signed for by Safe Package, include Safe Package's exclusive FULL replacement guarantee:
If we are unable to find your package or it is damaged while in the care of Safe Package, we will replace the item or provide 100% of the item's value at our discretion.
Note: All claims can take up to 30 days to investigate and proper claim documentation detailing the contents and value of the package is required.
Do not trust your purchases with any less of a liability policy!

Package weighs more than 70 pounds or is over 84 inches (Length + Girth)

Safe Package can still receive your package, however, in addition to the payment option you selected above, additional oversize charges will apply.

We consider a standard package to be a box that weighs less than 70 pounds and has dimensions of less than 84 inches which we calculate by measuring the longest side of the package and the overall girth (dimensions around the box on the narrower side)

If either the weight or dimensions equal or exceed the 70-pound or 84-inch limit the higher additional fee applies as follows:
Packages Weighing 70 pounds or over 84 inches = $8.00 additional charge
Packages Weighing 90 pounds or 108 inches = $18.00 additional charge

Please Note: Freight Deliveries (EXTRA LARGE PKGS. NOT ON SKIDS BUT DELIVERED BY FREIGHT) = $30.00 Additional per package PLUS $3.00+tax storage fee per night.

Basic Rates

For all your normal everyday standard size packages weighing less than 70 pounds and less than 84 inches (Length + Girth) you can pick from one of the following options:
Option #1: Per package plan – $10.00 per package
Option #2: Monthly discount plan – Pay $25 per month and receive unlimited packages for only $4.00 per package for 30 days.

Option #3: Yearly discount plan - Pay $180 per year and receive unlimited packages for only $3.00 per package for 12 months.
If you plan to receive more than 32 packages per year Options #2 and 3 are a better value!

Both plans include 30 days of free storage. We will hold your package for as long as you would like beyond the 30 days of free storage. However, a $0.25 + Tax per day, per package charge will apply and you will need to pay for your storage fees monthly using a Credit Card or PayPal account through our online system or in person.

Please Note: Failure to pay your storage fees by the 15th of the month will result in your package being liquidated as we see fit and you will not be entitled to compensation.

To pickup you will need...

 Ensure you received a text or email notifying you we have received and processed your package. Please be aware that just because your tracking number shows as received by Safe Package on the shipper's website does not mean your package is ready for pickup.

We receive numerous packages per day and each one must be logged and barcoded into our system before it can be picked up.

Feel free to stop by our facility during business hours to pick up your packages. We would ask that if you have 3 or more packages to pick up that you please schedule an appointment using our online system

You will be required to show your Government ID to pick up your package. For special cases, if you do not have ID you will be required to show the email confirmation of your order. Along with a signed waiver form.

We accept Cash, Credit Cards, Debit Credit Cards with the Visa or Mastercard Logo, and Debit Cards. Please note that we do not accept cheques.

If you are sending someone else to pick up your packages they must:
 

  • Present a government issued Photo ID

  • Know your PM#

  • Your Name as it appears on the account

  • Have the full tracking numbers for all of the packages they are picking up.
